For their second visit, they planned only two nights – but this short trip would change everything. Because he had a plan. A very special one. On their second day – just before Valentine’s Day – he wanted to ask the most important question of all: with a proposal in Vienna that couldn’t have been more romantic. Exploring Vienna in Style – Fiaker Ride, Culinary Delights & Storytelling
The day began with a 90-minute fiaker ride through Vienna – not just any carriage ride, but a luxurious culinary experience curated by Riding Dinner. Departure: right in front of the Ritz-Carlton Vienna. The weather: cold but gloriously sunny. The top of the carriage remained open, and the horses shimmered in the winter light. As they rode through the heart of the city, they savored traditional Viennese delicacies: sandwiches and schnitzel from Schwarzes Kameel, apple strudel from Café Landtmann, and a bottle of Grüner Veltliner – all elegantly served at selected stops along the route. A personal butler accompanied them, sharing anecdotes and stories about Vienna – while, behind the scenes, everything for the big moment was already in place.
A Rooftop Full of Roses – The Winter Garden at Do&Co as the Stage for YES
The final stop of the fiaker tour: St. Stephen’s Cathedral. And there, the next surprise awaited – a discreet tip to enjoy the best view over Vienna. Guided by the Julian Amenth Wedding & Events team, the couple entered the glass-walled winter garden of the Do&Co rooftop, which had been privately reserved just for them. The space was transformed with hundreds of candles and a sea of red rose petals. She was overwhelmed. Before she could even understand what this magical setting was all about, he knelt down – and asked the one question that changes everything. What she didn’t know: the entire day had been carefully and discreetly documented. A professional photographer – Tanja Hofer – was there from the very beginning, capturing every moment: from the hotel pick-up to the proposal and that first joyful “Yes!” A proposal with photographer in Vienna, beautifully staged and preserved forever. After the proposal, they strolled through Vienna’s charming winter streets for a private photo session – while the rooftop space was being transformed once more. Upon returning, the newly engaged couple was welcomed with an intimate candlelight dinner above the rooftops of Vienna – a private table for two with views of the cathedral, fine dining by Do&Co, a private chef, attentive service, and champagne. The final touch: the legendary Kaiserschmarrn from Demel as dessert.
